Fairview is looking for a Nursing Assistant at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This position is 64 hours per two weeks on the evening shift, for 8 hour shifts, and every other weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.

About this Unit:Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in an acute care surgical unit? Then the 2nd Floor General Surgery Unit might be the right fit for you! This 30 bed unit focuses on caring for post-op general surgical patients and has a telemetry capability of 26. The General Surgery team cares for surgical patients, including Vascular, Bariatric, Thoracic, GI, Maxillofacial, Urology, and Gynecology. As with all units at Southdale, this team is committed to delivering high-quality care and excellent patient experiences.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. The Nursing Assistant may be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse.
Provides basic patient care by performing routine duties to include:
Assists the nurse in monitoring patient condition.
Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharge of patients.
Transports patients, equipment, specimen and supplies.
Cleans sets up, and maintains rooms and equipment.
Accurately documents tasks performed on appropriate form.
Performs other tasks as needed.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
