Job summary

Providence Little Company Of Mary Torrance Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant (NA) to perform delegated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role may include EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation, and requires responding to patients and families with age-appropriate needs.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited CNA or Nursing Assistant program, or completion of 2nd semester of an accredited Nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program, or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or equivalent education/experience (e.g., corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN/MD, Medical Assistant, Caregiver).
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Job description

The Nurse Assistant (NA) role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant program or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program, or
• Coursework/Training: Graduate of any accredited Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent educ/experience
  • Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD, Medical Assistant, Caregiver.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of Previous Nurse Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post-acute environment.
