Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia seeks a Nursing Assistant for the Float Team at TUH-Jeanes Campus, working 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on a full-time schedule. The role supports RNs by handling delegated patient care tasks and contributes to the hospital's Customer Service program.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Nursing Assistant program or current nursing student with clinical rotation, and BLS certification. CNA preference is noted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Program or current nursing student with at least one clinical rotation is required.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Assists the RN with patient care activities delegated to unlicensed nursing staff.
• Performs additional nursing support tasks as prepared and delegated.
• Applies Temple Health Customer Service concepts in all patient care activities.

Description

Assists the RN by performing patient care activities delegated to the unlicensed nursing support staff as well as additional specific functions for which he/she has been prepared. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital’s Customer Service Program into all aspects of patient care activities. Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities.

Education

Trade School Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Program or current Nursing student with satisfactory completion of at least one clinical rotation Required or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience

1 year experience in a Nursing Assistant role Preferred
