Job summary

Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital's emergency department is seeking a Part-Time clinical support aide. The role supports patient care staff by taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and helping maintain supplies for a busy ED that sees thousands of patients annually.

The position includes evening/night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), every third weekend, and every other holiday, with eligibility for shift differential.

Qualifications

• Takes patient vital signs and assists with activities of daily living.
• Supports inventory management and supplies replenishment.
• Performs EKGs, point-of-care testing, phlebotomy and splinting as assigned.

Responsibilities

Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital's emergency department will see on average 30,000 patients a year. The department consists of 29 beds including a 6 bed secure behavioral health area.

General Summary

Provides clinical support services to patient care staff by performing a variety of duties related to patient care. Takes patient vital signs, assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, feeding, toileting, etc.), inventories and replenishes supplies and equipment, and performs special assigned and or delegated duties such as performing EKGs, Point-of-Care testing, phlebotomy and splinting.
