Job summary

Charleston Area Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant – 6 Front A at Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. You will perform direct patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean unit environment.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. The schedule is days, with 72 hours per pay and employee status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience considered.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrates patient care skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and daily assignments.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
• Support nursing staff and orient new Nursing Assistants.
• Respond promptly to patient requests with courtesy.
• Assist with unit maintenance, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Follow hospital policies and scheduling guidelines, including shift work.
