Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a part-time CNA/PCT to assist in patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse. The role includes taking vital signs, documenting in the EMR, and following strict safety and policy guidelines.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with 1+ PCT experience preferred and a state CNA license preferred. Night shifts in Kansas facility, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• 1+ PCT experience preferred.
• State CNA license preferred or in process.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Accurately measure vital signs and document in EMR per policy.
• Document procedures and report results promptly.
• Follow policy, procedures, and safety guidelines; participate in quality initiatives.
• Adhere to CDC isolation guidelines and appropriate PPE usage.

Job Description

• Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.
• Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
• Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.

Additional Information

• Float Pool has additional departmental requirements of a minimum of 1-2 years+ acute hospital CNA/PCT experience and possess a state-issued CNA License.

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Preferred]
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Preferred]
