Job summary

Essentia Health's Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora, MN, seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will assist with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, transfers, and vital signs, documenting changes for the RN and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Requirements include 6 months of CNA experience, completion of a recognized training program, state registry in good standing, and BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month.

Qualifications

• 6 months of nursing assistant experience.
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.
• BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under supervision to ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs, comfort care, and safe transfers.
• Take vital signs and complete recordkeeping; report changes to the RN.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing.
