Era Living in Bellevue, WA is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant (CNA/NAC/HCA/NAR) to join the Community Health team. Shifts include Tue–Thu 2:00 PM–10:30 PM or a med-tech focused 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift.

The role emphasizes resident choice, independence, privacy and dignity with personal care and clinical observation in licensed apartments. Qualified candidates will hold CNA/NAR certification with related training completed within specified timelines, CPR/First Aid, and may obtain Medication

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent certification is required.
• Dementia and mental health training must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• CPR and first aid certification are required.
• Medication technician certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain within 14 days.
• Two years’ experience with seniors preferred; one year caregiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, transferring, toileting, feeding) to residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents, including those with cognitive impairment.
• Perform simple housekeeping tasks and maintain apartment cleanliness.
• CNAs may administer medication under Nurse Delegation protocols.

Era Living is seeking a part-time Resident Assistants (CNA/NAC/HCA/NAR) to become the newest members of our Community Health team located in our The Gardens at Town Square Community, Bellevue, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Tuesday - Thursday, 2:00PM to 10:30PM, or, a med-tech focused shift Tuesday - Thursday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Resident Assistant carries out the concepts of Assisted Living, ensuring resident choice, independence, privacy, respect, and dignity in all interactions. Resident Assistants provide personal care services and exceptional clinical observation of residents living in licensed apartments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, transferring, toileting and feeding) to all residents living in licensed apartments
• Communicate effectively with persons with cognitive impairment and mental health issues
• Provide simple housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up the apartment and bathroom, and emptying trash per protocol
• CNAs may administer medication under Nurse Delegation protocols.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to provide all aspects of personal care to older adults at all functional levels
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Ability to schedule tasks effectively to meet strict deadlines and within allotted time
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required

Education and Experience:

• Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Care Aide Certification required; Registered Nursing Assistant Certification acceptable with proof of graduation from Era Living approved school, a copy of NAR license, and on condition that CNA license is earned within 120 days of hire
• Must complete Dementia and Mental Health training within 90 days of hire
• Current first aid and CPR certification, required
• Possess Medication Technician certification or able to obtain within 30-days of hire, as required by community
• Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
• Two (2) years’ experience working with seniors preferred
• One (1) year experience care giving preferred
