Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant/CNA for the Cardiac Care unit in Fargo, ND.

Facility: Sanford Med Ctr Fargo

Location: Fargo, ND

Shift: 12 Hours - Rotating Shifts

Job Schedule: Full-time

Weekly Hours: 36.00

Salary Range: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Department Details

The Cardiac Unit is a fast-paced environment with ample learning opportunities for nursing students and a strong team-oriented culture.

Shifts include a mix of day and evening hours, including every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as every other holiday. Self-scheduling options are available. Additional compensation is provided for weekend and holiday shifts.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides direct patient care under the supervision of RNs or LPNs. Responsibilities include recording vital signs, administering basic treatments, assisting with daily activities, maintaining a clean environment, collecting specimens, preparing treatment areas, and performing clerical tasks related to patient care documentation. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills are essential. The employee may provide one-on-one care when necessary for patient safety.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and equipment is preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred. If not certified, must be listed on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry within four months of employment.
