Job summary

UF Health in Florida is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the CFH Rehab unit during night shifts. You will work under the direction of RNs and healthcare leadership to ensure comfort, safety, and a positive recovery environment.

Responsibilities include providing basic physical care, assisting with nursing procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized patient care area to support effective rehabilitation and patient well‑being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post-high-school specialized training preferred.
• Valid Florida CNA license preferred; BLS required; read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic physical care and nursing procedures under RN direction.
• Provide comfort measures and help maintain a clean, safe patient care environment.
• Assist in keeping a safe, organized rehab area to support patient recovery.

Work Information

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Director/Manager and Registered Nurses (RNs), the Nursing Assistant supports patient care by providing basic physical care and nursing procedures, providing comfort measures, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Post‑high‑school specialized training preferred

Licensure & Certification

• Valid Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred
• BLS required
