Saint Therese – IHM Senior Living is seeking Nursing Assistants/CENAs to join our dedicated team in Monroe, Michigan. We provide a full continuum of care for seniors, from independent living to assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and short-term rehab. Our facility is a five-star Medicare and Medicaid licensed community staffed by passionate professionals committed to exceptional care.

The responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant/CENA include:

  • Providing direct care to residents according to individual care plans.
  • Monitoring residents' conditions and reporting changes.
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers using appropriate methods (gait belts, lifts, etc.).
  • Caring for residents with dignity and respect.
  • Responding promptly to call lights, phone, and in-person requests.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and respectful interactions with residents, families, and staff.

Available shifts in skilled and short-term rehab units include working every other weekend and holiday:

  • 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. (40 - 72 hours biweekly)
  • 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. (80 hours biweekly)

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a State-approved Nurse Assistant Training Program.
  • Current certification through the Michigan Nursing Assistant Registry.

Skills and abilities required:

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal).
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.
  • Good judgment, integrity, and consideration for others.
  • Sensitivity to residents' needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Strong commitment to compassionate customer service.
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 lbs. for resident transfers.
