Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The day shift offers a full-time role with comprehensive orientation and training for new hires. You will support clinical staff, care for patients in the community, and help brighten patient days.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be CPR certified, and be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Vaccination per policy is required for all employees.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or to be obtained.
• No experience required; orientation and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care needs and services for personal and comfort needs.
• Complete personal hygiene tasks.
• Collect specimens.
• Assist patients with walking and exercise.
• Transport patients between departments.
• Observe, report and record vital signs.

A Nursing Assistant's responsibilities may include:
Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients' personal and comfort needs
Complete personal hygiene
Collecting specimens
Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise
Transporting patients between departments
Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patient

Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times.
May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
