Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Medical Observation unit. This part-time, night-shift, PRN role supports the care team by assisting with basic patient care, hygiene, mobility, and routine monitoring to brighten patient days and aid clinical staff.

No prior experience is required; paid orientation and training are provided to help you succeed from day one, with CPR certification encouraged and safety considerations evident in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• No experience required; comprehensive orientation and training provided.
• Must obtain/maintain CPR certification.
• Able to lift more than 35 pounds as required by duties.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients' personal and comfort needs
• Complete personal hygiene
• Collecting specimens
• Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise
• Transporting patients between departments
• Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patient

A Nursing Assistant's responsibilities may include:

• Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients' personal and comfort needs
• Complete personal hygiene
• Collecting specimens
• Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise
• Transporting patients between departments
• Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patient

• Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times.
• May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
