Responsibilities

The Nursing Assistant performs assigned patient care tasks and related duties, delegated under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse/Licensed Professional Nurse.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent; High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of prior acute care experience preferred, or CNA certification, or completion of first clinical course in RN/LPN program.
• Required Certification/Registration: CNA certificate preferred if experience is minimal; BLS certification current and ongoing.
• Physical Demands: Prolonged standing/walking, patient lifting, positioning, pushing, transferring, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
• Working Conditions: Contact with patients in various circumstances, exposure to unpleasant elements, unpredictable situations, and occasional irregular hours.
