A healthcare system in Philadelphia seeks a Nursing Assistant who will assist RNs by performing delegated patient care activities. Candidates must have a high school diploma and preferably completion of a nursing assistant program or be a nursing student with clinical rotation experience. Basic Life Support certification is required. This position plays a vital role in patient satisfaction and support within the healthcare team.
Job Description - Nursing Assistant, 2B Med Surg, 36 hr, 7p-7:30a, Jeanes
Assists the RN by performing patient care activities delegated to the unlicensed nursing support staff as well as additional specific functions for which he/she has been prepared. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Customer Service Program into all aspects of patient care activities. Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Trade School Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Program or current Nursing student with satisfactory completion of at least one clinical rotation Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
1 year experience in a Nursing Assistant role Preferred
Basic Life Support Required
Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
