Job summary

Guardian Angels Senior Services is seeking a Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) at the Long Term Care (100 Wing) in Elk River, MN. The NAR will provide respectful, resident-centered care under a licensed nurse, helping residents reach their highest functional level across physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and spiritual domains.

Schedule is 2:30pm–11pm, part time (56 hours per 2 weeks) with every other weekend and holiday required.

Qualifications

• Currently registered as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant registry.
• Prior nursing experience preferred.
• Must be 16 years of age, or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal cares for residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Document cares provided and resident observations accurately.
• Assist residents to achieve highest possible physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and spiritual function.
• Maintain dignity and a resident-centered environment; follow infection control guidelines.
• Perform duties per current standards, regulations, and HIPAA.

Schedule

• 2:30pm - 11pm Schedule.
• Part time, working 56 hours per pay period (2 Weeks).
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday.

Position Summary

The Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) is responsible for providing respectful, resident-centered care and assistance to the resident under the supervision of a licensed nurse. They assist the resident to achieve their highest level of physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and spiritual function.

Job Duties

• To provide direct personal cares for residents at their assessed level of function under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• To provide Restorative/Maintenance nursing programs as developed by Nursing Rehabilitation
• To accurately document cares provided, resident observations.
• To assist the resident to achieve their highest level of physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and spiritual function.
• To assist in providing a dignified, respectful, resident-centered environment for residents.
• Follows universal precautions, facility infection control guidelines, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
• All duties will be performed in accordance with current standards, guidelines, state and federal regulations.
• Uphold confidential information as required by Guardian Angels Care Center policy and procedure and as related to HIPPA.
• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Guardian Angels.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
