Job summary

Evans Memorial Hospital Inc. is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care across adolescent to geriatric units. The role supports daily living activities, vitals monitoring, and essential hygiene tasks.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, privacy, and comfort for all patients. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification preferred, and current BCLS.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean environment and infection control practices.
• Participate in admission and discharge processes and performance improvement activities.

Under the supervision of Charge Nurse, Department Director, and Chief Nursing Officer, provides direct and indirect patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to acutely ill patients, and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff, and medical staff. Participates in performance improvement activities.Minimal Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or equivalentCertified Nursing Assistant Certification preferredCurrent BCLS certificationExperience: Preferred, but not required. May obtain on the job.Language Skills: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.Clinical Skills: Basic patient care skills including; but not limited to weights, baths, and vital signs.Physical/Mental Demands:Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout the work day.
