Job summary

HiredFirst in New York, NY is seeking a Part-Time CNA to provide direct patient care under nursing supervision, assist with ADLs, and monitor vital signs. You will support nutrition needs, feeding, positioning, mobility and safety, while documenting care and responding to call lights.

Flexible day/night scheduling, every other weekend and holiday rotation, and local candidates encouraged. A High School Diploma/GED and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (post-secondary preferred).
• Experience: 1–2 years in healthcare or customer service preferred, required for role.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA/RQI) – Required.
• Skills: Strong communication, basic computer skills, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, feeding, toileting, mobility) and patient comfort.
• Take and document vital signs; report changes in patient condition.
• Support nutrition needs, meal setup, and feeding assistance.
• Assist with positioning, ambulation, ROM, and safety measures.
• Perform rounding, respond to call lights, and document care accurately.

Location: New York 14456
Pay: $736 – $840/week
Shift: Part-Time, 2x12s (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM / 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM), days/nights as needed

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Assist with ADLs (bathing, feeding, toileting, mobility) and patient comfort

Take and document vital signs; report changes in patient condition

Support nutrition needs, meal setup, and feeding assistance

Assist with positioning, ambulation, ROM, and safety measures

Perform rounding, respond to call lights, and document care accurately

Float to SSMH as needed

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma/GED (post-secondary health/human services – preferred)

Experience:

1–2 years healthcare or customer service experience (Med/Surg, ED, ICU preferred) – Required

Certifications:

BLS (AHA/RQI) – Required

Skills: Strong communication, basic computer skills, patient-centered care

Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Flexible day/night scheduling based on unit needs

Local candidates and CNAs accepted

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens possible
