Job summary

Methodist Hospital Landmark, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Nursing Administrator (PRN) to ensure high quality, patient-centered care by directing house-wide functions during designated shifts. You will join the nursing management team and oversee operations in collaboration with hospital leadership.

The role requires RN licensure with an Associate Degree or RN Diploma; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and 1+ year of clinical practice is required (3+ years preferred).

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in clinical practice Required.
• 3+ years’ experience in clinical practice Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of the Nursing Department and coordinates resources for optimal patient care.
• Supports development and actualization of the Department of Nursing goals and communicates expectations.
• Acts as liaison between administrator on-call and nursing management, staff, patients and families.
• Provides on-site leadership, direction and support for operational management during designated shifts.
• Monitors workload on patient care units and informs the appropriate charge/coordinator and manager.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Nursing Administrator (PRN) who ensures high quality, patient-centered care through direction and supervision of all house-wide functions during a designated shift. The House Supervisor participates as an active member of the nursing management team and assumes authority to manage all activities and personnel in conjunction with and in the absence of hospital administration. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Accurately assesses the needs of the Nursing Department and the patients served and facilitates obtaining ancillary services response and/or needed resources in situations affecting the optimal delivery of patient care.
• Participates in and supports the development and actualization of the Department of Nursings goals. Assists in communicating the philosophy and expectation of the Department of Nursing.
• Serves as a communication liaison between the administrator on-call and nursing management, staff, patients, families, and visitors.
• Provides on-site leadership, direction, and support for the operational management of patient service areas during designated shifts.
• Monitors workload on patient care units and communicates observations to the appropriate shift charge/coordinator, and manager.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required.
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing Preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in clinical practice Required.
