Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio is seeking a Nursing Administrator (Nights) to provide on-site leadership and supervision of all house-wide functions during the night shift. You will serve as a key member of the nursing management team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Required: Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma; 1+ year of clinical practice. Preferred: Bachelor's in Nursing and 3+ years of clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in clinical practice required.
• 3+ years’ experience in clinical practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses the needs of the Nursing Department and the patients served and facilitates obtaining ancillary services response and/or needed resources in situations affecting the optimal delivery of patient care.
• Participates in and supports the development and actualization of the Department of Nursing's goals. Assists in communicating the philosophy and expectation of the Department of Nursing.
• Serves as a communication liaison between the administrator on-call and nursing management, staff, patients, families, and visitors.
• Provides on-site leadership, direction, and support for the operational management of patient service areas during designated shifts.
• Monitors workload on patient care units and communicates observations to the appropriate shift charge/coordinator, and manager.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
