Description of Duties

Monroe Community Hospital (MCH), one of the nation’s largest and most respected county-operated skilled nursing facilities, is proactively seeking an experienced and visionary Administrator of Nursing Services/ Director of Nursing to join our leadership team. This opportunity arises as part of a thoughtful succession plan in anticipation of an upcoming retirement. The selected candidate will work closely with our current Director to ensure a seamless transition that preserves the high standards of care, innovation, and compassion that define MCH. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of nursing leadership at a facility nationally recognized for its specialized services and commitment to excellence in long-term care.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

  • Graduation with a Master's degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field, plus five (5) years paid full‑time or its part‑time equivalent experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative role; OR,
  • Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field, plus six (6) years paid full‑time or its part‑time equivalent experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative role; OR,
  • Graduation with an Associate’s degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field, plus seven (7) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative role; OR,
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Possession of a valid New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse at time of appointment.
