Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi seeks a Nursing Administration leader to oversee multiple departments, supervise staff, and drive efficient operations in a teaching hospital setting.

Required are NYS RN licensure, a Master’s in Nursing Administration or related field with supervisory experience, or a Bachelor's with extensive supervisory nursing experience. A BS is preferred, with potential BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State license and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration or related discipline with 3 years supervisory nursing experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with 4 years supervisory nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required within 60 days of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises staff and support departments, coordinating services across related areas.
• Prepares operating plans, policies, programs and procedures; participates in improved systems and procedures.
• M intention to monitor systems and participate in control and audit programs.
• Prepares data for budget, operating and statistical reports and analyses.
• May represent healthcare administration in relevant functions and programs.
• Assists in grant proposal writing and in submitting revenue and expenditure reports for special funded programs.
