Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a dedicated nurse leader for Piedmont Macon North to oversee patient care quality and safety on a rotating schedule. The role coordinates with admissions and bed control to maintain optimal flow and staffing across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure in Georgia with BLS, 3 years of hospital experience, and a track record in clinical leadership. ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred, with disaster and on-call procedures familiar to the applicant.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing program (RN).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3 years of hospital nursing experience required.
• Current Georgia RN license and BLS required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain quality patient care and safety across the organization.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate with Admissions and Bed Control to optimize patient flow.
• Monitor bed availability and manage surge capacity.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift basis.
• Serve as on-site hospital administrator after hours and coordinate on-call contact.
• Assist in activating disaster plans and ensure communication with staff.

Responsibilities:

Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift. Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers. Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed. Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift-to-shift basis. Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours. Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator-on-call contact during his/her shift. Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors. Works under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities. Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff. This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.
