Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in the United States is seeking a qualified nurse leader to supervise nursing staff and coordinate shift staffing while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. You will act as the on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours, assess administrator-on-call requests, and coordinate disaster response planning in collaboration with the on-call administrator.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
• Demonstrated clinical competency required.
• RN licensure and BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Georgia state licensure or multi-state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift-to-shift basis.

• Coordinate Admissions and Bed Control to optimize bed flow.

Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift. Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers. Monitoring bed availability and implementing surge capacity measures as needed. Supervision of the nursing staff and coordination of staffing on a shift-to-shift basis. Is the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours. Responsible for the assessment of all requests for administrator-on-call contact during his/her shift. Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors. Works under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities. Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff. This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.
