University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT, seeks adjunct faculty for the Nursing Department to teach Graduate Nursing courses in Summer and Fall 2027. Courses use asynchronous online learning with synchronous online sessions; clinical courses include one in-person meeting monthly.

Responsibilities include teaching 2–6 credits, timely grading, maintaining office hours, and using USJ's teaching technologies. Prior teaching experience and CT APRN eligibility are preferred requirements.

Competenze

• Earned master's degree in nursing is required.
• Earned doctoral degree in nursing (DNP) is preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for license by the state of Connecticut as an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse).
• Minimum of two years of experience practicing as a nurse practitioner.

Mansioni

• Teach 2-6 credits designated as contact time with students.
• Grade all student assignments in a timely manner and provide feedback.
• Maintain office hours and be available a minimum of one additional hour per week to support students.
• Demonstrate knowledge of current methods for teaching college-level courses and deliver clear instruction.
• Learn and utilize technology available at USJ to facilitate teaching.
• Meet all designated class periods as per academic calendar.
• Submit mid-semester and final grades to the Registrar within required time frames.
• Provide a supportive atmosphere for student success.
