Job summary

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates for part-time Adjunct Nursing Professors who can place student success at the center of decision-making and support the development of the nursing workforce.

Adjunct Nursing Professors will teach both theory and clinical components, collaborate with faculty, and contribute to a diverse, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or related field (minimum qualifications).
• Active, unencumbered RN license in Washington State (or eligible).
• Experience mentoring or instruction with nursing students preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and equity.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate contextualized nursing learning experiences.
• Develop authentic assessments for courses and clinicals.
• Apply varied teaching strategies to support diverse learners.
• Direct students to campus services and resources as needed.
• Be available to teach at pre-arranged times to meet program needs.
• Proctor examinations and other assessments as required.
• Uphold RN professional obligations and public safety in clinical settings.
• Contribute to the general education of students and transfer to university programs.
