Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing is required; doctorate in nursing is preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience as a registered nurse.
• Possession of a valid and unencumbered RN license in Maryland or nursing license compact state.
• Ability to communicate with and teach a diverse population of students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and evaluate students in classroom, nursing lab, or clinical setting.
• Attend required clinical agency orientations, if applicable.
• Supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment in nursing labs.
• Attend workshops on D2L, DocuCare, and ATI for course taught.
• Attend adjunct orientation before each semester.
• Evaluate student learning using the department’s standard tools.
• Participate in end-of-year reports and evaluations.
