Job summary

College of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for adjunct nursing faculty to teach onsite didactic content at our Queens location in Long Island City, NY. The nursing program is CCNE-accredited and seeks qualified adjuncts for undergraduate and graduate Nursing courses.

Responsibilities include classroom teaching, exam preparation, and grade entry using LMS Canvas, with coordination across course leaders.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Unencumbered RN license in New York State.
  • Strong interpersonal, public speaking and writing skills.
  • Past teaching experience or in a similar role.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Classroom teaching in the area of specialization using the provided syllabus.
  • Prepare examinations (ExamSoft may be used).
  • Enter grades into the LMS Canvas.
  • Enter final grades at semester end.
  • Communicate with course coordinators regarding student and course progress.

Our accredited (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education -CCNE) Nursing program is seeking adjunct faculty to teach onsite didactic content in the following areas:

Responsibilities:

Salary:
Compensation: $1,500 per credit, per course.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing-Preferred
  • An unencumbered RN license in New York State
  • Strong interpersonal, public speaking and writing skills
  • Past experience with teaching students or in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems, and work independently
  • Ability to represent the College in a professional manner
  • Ability to work with confidential information and exercise discretion
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff and leadership
  • Ability to use Google Suite and Gmail
