Job summary

Cornerstone Management's Missouri residential care facility seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to join our compassionate team. You will administer medications, maintain records, and support residents’ daily living activities in a safe, person-centered environment.

Ideal candidates have Missouri Certification Medication Aide, experience in senior care, CPR/First Aid is a plus, and a strong commitment to following care plans and communicating with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Missouri Certification Medication Aide
• Experience in a senior care or long-term care setting
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with families and the care team
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to lift and assist residents (up to 50 pounds)
• Must pass background checks and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents accurately under licensed nursing supervision
• Keep up-to-date medication records per facility policies
• Maintain medication storage areas in compliance with regulations
• Assist residents with daily living activities
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health or well-being
• Maintain open communication with families about care updates and medication changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality resident care

What You'll Do:

• Administer medications to residents accurately and timely, following care plans and under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Keep detailed, up-to-date medication records as per facility policies.
• Maintain medication storage areas in compliance with regulations.
• Assist residents with daily living activities when necessary.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health or well-being.
• Maintain open and effective communication with families to keep them informed of their loved ones’ care, changes in condition, and medication updates.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure the best possible care for each resident.
• Stay current with training and development in medication administration.
• Light housekeeping.
