First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs is seeking a warm-hearted Nursery Teacher to join our Little Lights Nursery. The role is part-time, Sundays and Thursdays, four hours per day, at our church facility in Colorado Springs.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of early childhood care experience; background in ECE preferred; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain; the role includes Bible-based activities and maintaining a safe, welcoming nursery.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in early childhood care, preschool, or church nursery.
• Background in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic about working with children.
• Comfortable incorporating Christian teachings and faith-based values.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, age-appropriate care for children ages 0 to 6.
• Lead simple faith-based activities, songs, and Bible lessons.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursery environment.
• Change diapers, assist with toileting, and manage classroom transitions.
• Engage with children through play, stories, and music.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate kindly and professionally with parents and staff.
• Arrive on time and be consistently present for assigned days.
