Job summary

Green Circle Growers in Oberlin, OH is seeking a dedicated nursery production worker responsible for preparing flowers and other plants for shipping. You will plant, cultivate and maintain nursery seedlings and plants including perennials, bedding plants, plugs, liners, vegetable plants and hanging baskets.

The role involves heavy lifting, operating in varying temperatures, and following safety procedures. Applicants must have 3+ months nursery experience, be 18+, pass background/drug checks,

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of nursery/manufacturing experience.
• Must be at least 18 yrs old.
• Perform manual tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Lift items up to 20lbs.
• Push/pull carts up to 200lbs.
• Follow verbal and written direction.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays during peak season.
• Good attendance required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Available to work additional hours as dictated by schedule.

Responsibilities

• Pot/plant seedlings, fill, and label trays; move product to greenhouses and organize for loading.
• Attach hangers to baskets and hang through seasonal holding houses.
• Move containerized plants with carts; load/unload trucks and conveyors.
• Lift, carry, and load/unload products or supplies.
• Install/maintain irrigation systems and water lines.
• Clear debris and clean/maintain farm buildings, structures, equipment and work areas.
