Job summary

Partou Stepping Stones Day Nursery & Pre-school is seeking a Nursery Chef for a part-time role (Mon-Fri, 30 hours/week) in Speedwell, Bristol. You will prepare nutritious meals for children with dietary considerations, ensuring safety and inclusivity in a busy nursery kitchen.

You’ll work independently and with a team, contributing to a positive mealtime experience and partnering with childcare staff to support pupils’ developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 food and hygiene qualification.
• Proven chef experience, ideally in childcare settings.
• Sound knowledge of child nutrition and allergy awareness.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, maintaining calm and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals for nursery children.
• Adapt menus to dietary needs and allergies.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive kitchen environment at all times.

About the Role

Partou Stepping Stones Day Nursery & Pre-school is seeking an enthusiastic chef to take on the part-time Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week role of Nursery Chef.You'll have the rewarding role of preparing delicious, nutritionally balanced meals for our children, never forgetting to cater to any specific dietary needs or allergies.You will provide exceptional care and compassion towards the children, maintain asafe and inclusive environment, and build strong partnerships with childcare colleagues.
