Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Nursery Attendant to supervise children from 8 weeks to 14 years at Carilion Wellness facilities. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, enforcing policies, and maintaining a clean nursery environment.

The role requires a minimum two years of high school education and a current AHA BLS-HCP certification for adults and children. Employment offers a flexible day shift and competitive pay in a supportive health system.

• AHA BLS-HCP certification is required (adult and infant/child).

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the nursery, playland, and youth areas.

• Watch the children and their activities at all times.
• Contact parent if child's diaper needs to be changed.

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

• The nursery attendant supervises children and their activities from ages 8 weeks to 14 years at Carilion Wellness facilities.
• Ensures childrens safety and well-being in the nursery, playland, and youth areas at all times.
• Enforces the child sick policy and other policies while utilizing the nursery.
• Maintain nursery bathroom neat and clean.
• Watch the children and their activities at all times.
• Contact parent if child's diaper needs to be changed.

What We Require:

• Education: Minimum two years high school education.
• Work permit required if under 18 years of age.
• Experience: none
• Licensure/Certification: AHA BLS-HCP certification is required (adult and infant/child).
• Compensation Range: $13.00 - $18.00 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
