• Leads a unit or service with effective use of knowledge to promote excellence in staff recruitment and retention and clinical outcomes.
• Acts as standard bearer on the unit, ensuring accountability for delivery of care through communication and measurement.
• Manages clinical, financial, human and material resources and outcomes.
• Champions safety and quality, using data and technology to guide decisions and mitigate risks.
• Creates a safe, desirable work environment and fosters collaboration with physicians, staff and departments.
