Job summary

Schervier Pavilion, part of Westchester Medical Center Health Network, seeks a Nurse Manager to coordinate and direct nursing care systems, working with the interdisciplinary team to meet standards and organizational goals.

The role includes 24/7 operational supervision, staff training, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will oversee a unit, manage staffing, budgets, and supply use while fostering resident and family satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three years of nursing experience in a long-term care facility (minimum).
• BSN required or master's degree in nursing/healthcare preferred.
• Current NYS RN license and continued registration; AHA BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Nursing Supervisors and RNs to oversee clinical care in the unit.
• Participates in planning, implementation and evaluation of quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Leads interdisciplinary rounds on the unit.
• Reviews trends in nursing care delivery and initiates improvements.
• Ensures resident care assignments provide continuity of care and assesses staff performance.
• Conducts rounds with residents and families to address clinical needs and satisfaction.
• Advocates for residents and families with the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicates clinical and resource issues to leadership.
• Monitors expenses, productivity, and variances; plans to minimize overtime and meet budgets.
• Monitors supplies and equipment; submits requisitions as needed.
• Ensures staff have required credentials (CPR, license) and completes staff competencies.
• Supports staff development and infection control practices.
• Maintains professional competence through education and policy standardization.
