Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our orthopedic team. This high-volume triage role supports patient care via Epic In Basket, MyChart messages, and prescription refills across multiple west-side TRIA locations.

The RN will perform onsite MRSA swabs as needed and provide compassionate, confidential care in a fast-paced clinic setting. The schedule is .80 FTE, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with opportunities to impact patient experience and

Job description

Position Summary:

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Accountability for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse’s competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved professional nursing education program. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment of care and advocates for the best interests of individual patients. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

This is a high-volume nurse triage position that works primarily out of the Epic In Basket, managing orthopedic patient phone calls, MyChart messages, and prescription refill requests for multiple west-side TRIA locations.
In addition to triage responsibilities, the nurse will complete onsite MRSA swabs as needed.

Work Schedule:

.80 FTE, Monday through Friday schedule, generally working 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Graduated from a school of nursing.
  • Associate degree/diploma or higher required.
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Maintain a current state certified registered nurse’s licensure.
  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross guidelines.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served. Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multitask.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred.
