Nurse Technicians (Patient Care Techs)/Nursing Assistants – Full Time & Part Time - Med/Surg and Float Pool

At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, Nurse Technicians/Nursing Assistants (NT/NA) are vital care providers at the bedside. They serve as key contacts for patients and their families, bringing energy, hospitality, and compassion to their work, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

They provide compassionate patient-focused care and perform select duties under RN supervision, enhancing the patient experience while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment. This role exemplifies teamwork and elevates patient care standards.

We offer Full Time and Part Time NT/NA positions at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist in Brooklyn, NY. The first two years require working three weekends (every Saturday & Sunday).

Available shifts include:

• Day Shift - 7:30AM - 4:00PM
• Evening Shift - 3:30PM - 12:00AM
• Night Shift - 11:45PM - 7:45AM

Required Criteria:

• High school diploma or GED
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Nurse Technician: Completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant Certificate, including EKG and Phlebotomy Certificates
• Nursing Assistant: Previous experience as a Nurse’s aide in a hospital or certification from an accredited Nurse Aid program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program (junior year or with at least one clinical practicum)
