Providence Covenant Levelland is seeking a Nursing Technician to perform basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse, onsite in Levelland, TX. This posting covers Per Diem, On Call - Day openings.

Candidates may be nursing students enrolled in an RN program or graduates who have not yet passed the state board within the first year. A current BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Nursing student enrolled in a professional School of Nursing (RN) program with successful completion of Medical/Surgical Nursing and Fundamentals of Nursing & Skills coursework and maintaining enrollment.
• Graduate of a professional School of Nursing (RN) who has taken but not successfully completed the State Board of Nursing examination within the first year following graduation. After one year, will be demoted to a non-licensed position.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Assist in treatment and care of patients as part of the nursing team.
