Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Nurse Technician for FT Nights in Athens, TN. You will perform basic patient care and unit support to promote safe, efficient care and patient throughput.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a clean, stocked environment while reporting any concerns to RN staff. A BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• SRNA or EMT preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and promptly reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and stocked.
• Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and throughput.
• Documents care and activities per unit standards.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.
