About our Unit:

The ICU stepdown (ICUSD) at Maury Regional Medical Center is a 25-bed progressive care unit known for teamwork and a family-like environment. It cares for patients aged 16+ with conditions like end-stage renal disease, COPD, pneumonia, heart failure, and sepsis. Patients are monitored on bedside monitors, with telemetry support for heart rate and rhythm. The unit is led by a charge nurse, and staff are ACLS certified, typically caring for four to five patients. Nurse technicians assist with glucose, vital signs, and ADLs; unit secretaries facilitate calls and discharge processes. The team values strong teamwork and diverse professional backgrounds.

Job Summary:

Performs clerical/secretarial duties, processes physicians' orders, files vital information, and provides basic nursing care under RN supervision. Responsibilities vary based on unit needs and patient requirements.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
• 1 year of related experience (Preferred)
