Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Nurse Technician to support the surgical team. Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic patient care activities as delegated by RN.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Assist patients with getting dressed, using the restroom, and getting to their vehicle.
• Report abnormal findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with cleaning stretchers, changing linens, stocking patient care areas and supplies, and assisting with sterile setups in OR prep.
• Report abnormal assessment/telemetry findings to nursing staff.
• Test equipment for proper working order.
• Other duties as assigned.

How You\'ll Contribute

As a Nurse Technician, you will be a vital part of our surgical team. Someone who excels in this role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Performing basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN
• Assisting patients with getting dressed, going to the restroom, and getting to their vehicle.
• Reporting abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assisting with cleaning stretchers, changing linens, stocking patient care areas, stocking supplies, learning sterile techniques and assisting the OR nurse and surgical tech with getting rooms ready, turning over after procedures, opening supplies in sterile fashion.
• Reporting abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Testing equipment for proper working order
• Other duties as assigned
