Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide indirect and direct care, supporting patients’ nutrition, hygiene, safety, and comfort under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a Florida CNA license; nursing students enrolled in an ASN or BSN program who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing (unofficial transcript with application) may apply. Schedule is full-time, night shift (7p–7a) at the Tampa Main Campus.

Qualifications

The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patient and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
