3E/G is a unique team structure at Blodgett Hospital, comprising two separate units but functioning as one team. 3E is a 24-bed Med/Surg unit with some Medical Orthopedic patients, while 3G is a 22-bed Orthopedic unit primarily serving Total Joint Replacement Patients. Our team works across both units, providing diverse patient care experiences including Total Joint Replacement, Hip Fracture, Osteomyelitis, and other medical conditions. The team is part of an exceptional Joint Replacement program, one of the largest and most reputable in the nation, serving approximately 2,800 patients annually. This program has received and maintained Joint Replacement Disease Specific Certification from the Joint Commission, reflecting our commitment to high-quality care.
Located within a serene setting of mature trees and healing gardens, Blodgett Hospital has a longstanding reputation for high-quality, compassionate, and personalized medical care since 1846. We are a community and teaching hospital offering inpatient care in 248 private rooms and outpatient services across medical, surgical, and specialty areas, consistently achieving high patient satisfaction.
As a team member, you will deliver quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Your responsibilities include performing basic skills per department guidelines, observing and communicating patient needs, and documenting care accurately and promptly. Tasks include taking vital signs, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization, and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
