About the Unit

4 Center is one of our floors within Women's Health at Butterworth Hospital. 4C is the antepartum/high-risk pregnancy floor where we care for pregnant patients experiencing a wide range of pregnancy complications. Many of our patients stay with us for weeks or months and nursing staff are able to establish lasting relationships with the patients.

Scope of work

We provide couplet care, where we care for mom and baby together, as well as some general Women's Health and GYN patients. The Nurse Tech acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.

As a nurse tech on the unit, you will provide patient care which can include taking vital signs, transportation, collaborating with the RN, blood sugar checks, ADLs and more.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
  • 1- 2 years of direct patient care experience is strongly preferred
  • Flexibility with weeknight availability is preferred
