Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a nurse technician to assist with patient care under RN supervision in Grand Rapids, MI. Work includes day shifts in a rotating schedule with weekend requirements.

Non-licensed team member contributes to quality patient care, adheres to safety policies, and supports department activities within the Nursing Department.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED required; CNA preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for HealthCare Providers.
• Experience: None required; prior nurse technician experience preferred.

Compensation: Starting at $18/hr (eligible for increase based on experience)

Days Worked: Rotating Schedule, Weekend requirement

Hours: 24 hrs/week; 7:00am - 7:30pm; 36 hrs/week; 7am - 7:30p

Summary

Nurse technicians provide important patient care within the Nursing Department. Under the direction of the registered nurse assigned to each patient, this non-licensed team member assists with patient care and other department activities as outlined in this job description and communicates effectively with the RN responsible for each patient.

• Experience: None required. Previous experience as a nurse technician or nursing assistant is preferred. Understanding of medical technology and rehabilitation care is preferred.
