This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission by providing supervision and training to field staff Health Facilities Evaluator Nurses (HFEN) responsible for surveying healthcare facilities and enforcing licensing standards. The HFE II (Supervisor) reviews reports, surveys, and correspondence, and communicates policy and procedures to the public and healthcare facility operators. Up to 25% travel is required.
The incumbent works under the direction of the Health Facilities Evaluator Manager I. A hybrid telework schedule may be available, subject to CDPH’s Telework Policy.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for telework, at the Departments discretion. All teleworkers must be California residents. Travel may be required, with reimbursement based on the employee’s designated headquarters.
