Ahwatukee Post Acute in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (RN or LPN) to provide clinical leadership during evening or overnight operations. The Nurse Supervisor oversees nursing staff, ensures quality resident care, supports admissions, conducts rounds, and serves as the clinical leader for the facility during assigned shifts.

Qualifications

  • Current Arizona RN or LPN license in good standing.
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required.
  • Skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Previous charge nurse, nurse supervisor, unit manager, or leadership experience preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and make sound decisions independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff during assigned shift.
  • Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and staff performance.
  • Coordinate admissions, readmissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Respond to resident, family, physician, and staff concerns promptly.
  • Ensure physician orders are implemented accurately and timely.
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Assess residents with changes in condition and coordinate interventions.
  • Serve as clinical resource and decision-maker during assigned hours.
  • Assist with staffing coordination and assignment adjustments.
  • Follow up on incidents, accidents, and falls; enforce infection control.
