Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing care and guide staff on a rehabilitation unit. The role focuses on implementing patient-centered programs and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure required by state regulations.
• BLS certification with ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years).
• Previous leadership role, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, where you were responsible for interim reporting, issue resolution, setting direction, and accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services provided during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
• Monitor and manage staff, including on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and administering performance counseling and discipline.
• Assume patient care as needed and build meaningful relationships with patients to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.

Education

RN licensure

BLS certification

ACLS certification within 1 year

CRRN certification within 1 year

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Two years of inpatient hospital experience

Leadership experience (charge nurse/lead)
