Job summary

Encompass Health seeks a Nurse Supervisor to lead patient-care programs and supervise nursing staff across rehabilitation services. You will partner with administration to ensure compliant, compassionate care on assigned units.

In this role, you’ll guide clinical protocols, mentor staff, conduct evaluations, and engage with patients to support recovery. A collaborative, patient-focused approach is essential to succeed in our team.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certification obtained within one year of starting position.
• CRRN certification obtained within a year of eligibility.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent inpatient hospital experience (within the last five years).
• Previous leadership role such as charge nurse or lead capacity with accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development and implementation of personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serving as the liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervising nursing care, treatment, and services provided during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
• Monitoring and managing staff, including feedback, annual evaluations, and administering performance counseling and discipline.
• Assuming patient care as needed and building meaningful relationships with patients to support recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
