Job summary

Encompass Health seeks a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing teams within our rehabilitation setting. You will be responsible for developing care programs, policies, and procedures while ensuring seamless collaboration between administration, nursing management, and frontline staff.

You will supervise care on your unit, provide timely feedback and evaluations, and address performance issues. Building rapport with patients and guiding their recovery are core aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
• BLS certification with ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years).
• Previous leadership role, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, with accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as the liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or on a unit.
• Monitor and manage staff, including on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and administering performance counseling and discipline.
• Assume patient care as needed and build meaningful relationships with patients for successful recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
